- Power Sonic drums (vintage): 22" bass drum, 13" tom, and 16" floor tom
- Sonor Force 2001 Steel 14" snare drum
- Unbranded basic stands: 2 cymbal stands, hi-hat stand, and snare drum stand
The stands work fine if you're just starting out. The Sonor steel snare has been cleaned up and has new batter and resonant heads - sounds good!
The Power Sonic drums were produced in the early 1970s. They are student level drums that were made in the same factory as student-level Pearl drums in Taiwan -- same shells, same hardware.
All batter and resonant heads have been replaced. The exteriors and interiors have been cleaned up (at least WAY better than they were!), and the screws holding the lugs on have been tightened.
The floor tom was missing a hoop and tension rods - replaced successfully with modern hardware.
The kick drum was missing the front hoop. Could not locate an original replacement, so I used a maple hoop. I managed to replace the broken tom mounting arm and missing bass drum claws and tension rods with vintage Pearl parts.
Just looking to recover my material costs for all of the parts I replaced and original purchase of the kit. I like fixing up kits that are in rough shape, giving them a new life, and hopefully some drummer out there can get some use out of it!
