Mature female with variable disabilities is seeking assistants/caregivers with the following experience, skills and abilities, or commitment to learn:
-regular house cleaning and organization
-regular laundry and recycling
-some gardening/yard work
-occasional meal prep/cooking (FoodSafe)
-occasional personal physical assistance with transfer to/from wheelchair (requires strength), personal care, dressing and/or grooming
-some driving/accompaniment to/from appointments (BC Driver's license preferred)
-occasional help with shopping and errands, lifting/carrying of heavy items, etc
-some administrative assistance tasks may come up, such as phone calls to arrange needed services, appointments, etc
Client is mainly self-ambulatory, but does sometimes require higher levels of assistance when more physically disabled, so having the capacity to assist/support with a pivot/stand transfer to/from a wheelchair is necessary. Driver's license an asset.
Client is scent-sensitive and has allergies and asthma, so the positions are open only to applicants who don't smoke, vape, or use scented products such as laundry soap, fabric softener, perfumed lotions, soaps or hair products, etc.
