Hi! I'm Jaq 40 (they/them) and there's Riven 33 (he/zi), and Kathy 63 (she/her)
One bedroom for rent in 4 bedroom house for November (prorated based on move in) or December- near major bus routes (24, 25, 26, 14)
Largest bedroom in house comes furnished with a desk, smart TV, bedside table, dresser, and queen bed. (With room for other things you may like and a large closet.) Room is up 6 steps and shares upstairs area with one other person mainly. Other 2 folks mostly downstairs (but whole house accessible to all as space is needed).
Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances (from dishwasher, air fryer, rice pot, pressure cooker, etc) and all possible utensils.
Living room has 60inch smart television, tons of art supplies, aircon/heat, and pull out sectional.
Washer and dryer included.
$1200 rent and 1/4 electric bill or $1300 rent to include highest speed Internet and utilities/heat.
The house has ample space to hang out or be alone in areas other than your bedroom.
House comes with 2 yards and gardening beds and lots of sitting areas, outdoor projector, fire pit, and charcoal BBQ. This makes it great to host year round small gatherings and stay covid safe.
This is a split level house with half flight of stairs to go to the upper kitchen, living room and bathroom and your bedroom and half flight of stairs down to the freezer and laundry room and 2nd kitchen/livingroom.
About us:
Living with 2 white queers (partners in basement) and sharing upstairs with our mom who is a super chill, quiet woman who spends 90% of her time in her room and 10% baking and cooking :)
-We have 4 cats. 3 live mostly downstairs and 1 mostly upstairs.
-1 person smokes cigarettes but outdoors only.
-All 3 of us have some disabilities and care about having intentionally accessible and chill space. 2 work from home and need to have relative quiet during daytime hours. Still can live life normally, but music etc must not be super loud.
- We are a fragrance free home so all cleaning and bath products need to be scent free or agreed upon essential oil to make sure everyone can handle it
- We are a mostly quiet home and rarely have people inside (and we ask that anyone visiting wear a mask inside). We have lots of hosting space outside (bbq, fire pit, projector, heating blankets, etc).
-We often share in meals and hang out but respect space, downtime, and privacy.
-We can be cluttered but make sure dishes are clean at end of night and place is maintained and hygienic.
You:
-Someone who is fairly covid conscientious- we are not asking for perfection (and dont promise it), but someone who is willing to mask in indoor public spaces when out as this is an immunocompromised house.
-Chill and laid back person who can handle a house full of autistic introverts.
-Someone who is friendly and communicative and cares for harmony in a home
-Someone who understands and values consent, care, and communication
-Willing to check in with house before having gatherings or folks over and able to ask anyone that somes inside to wear an N95 mask.
-Someone looking for long term home
-good with some clutter but respectful of others comfort levels with shared space messes.
-Loves cats
-Desire to occasionally hang out and watch movie/craft/cook/play music/eat
-Ideally another spoonie/neurodivergent/queer person is great
-Want something furnished/dont have a lot if shared space stuff.
