I’m looking for an experienced full-stack developer to independently review and oversee the technical handoff of an existing custom web application.
The application is already built and currently running on a live deployment. The original developer is providing the frontend and backend source code. I need someone on my side to verify that I receive a complete, functional, independently deployable project.
The work may include:
* Review delivered frontend/backend source code
* Perform a basic code/security sanity check before deployment
* Verify database backup/export and required configuration
* Identify missing environment variables, APIs, dependencies, credentials, or documentation
* Compare the delivered source with the functioning live application
* Confirm that the project can be independently deployed
* Potentially deploy the final project to a fresh DigitalOcean VPS under my control
* Verify that I am not dependent on the original developer or their infrastructure after handoff
Important: I am not looking for a redesign or a new website build right now. This is primarily a technical audit, handoff, and deployment assignment.
Looking for someone experienced with full-stack applications, Linux/VPS hosting, databases, Git, SSH, DNS/SSL, environment configuration, APIs, and DigitalOcean or similar infrastructure.
Local/Erie-area is preferred if available, but strong remote candidates are welcome.
