Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and my huntress, the Russian Blue and I are looking for a peaceful place to call home in rural Western Colorado.
I'm a mature, responsible, educated professional with a background in medical visualisation, anatomy, art and healthcare. I work remotely, enjoy nature, gardening, animals and simple living, and value kindness, privacy and good neighbours.
I have a condition known as electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), which means I need an environment free from nearby WiFi, cellular phone users, ring cameras...2000 yards would be ideal. Finding the right place is particularly important for my health.
**Our ideal situation:**
- A small, secluded cabin, cottage, guesthouse or rustic dwelling
- Rural acreage, preferably surrounded by trees, with substantial distance from neighbouring homes
- No nearby Wi-Fi routers, Starlink, cellular hotspots or other wireless transmitters
- Wired internet (Ethernet or fibre) would be wonderful for my work
- A simple, off-grid or partially off-grid arrangement is welcome
- A wood stove, well water and basic amenities are perfectly fine
- Cat-friendly — Kona is a cherished, well-cared-for companion
We're particularly interested in the Paonia, Crawford, North Fork Valley and surrounding mountain communities, but are open to other suitable locations.
I'm open to renting, a longer-term arrangement or potentially a rent-to-own opportunity. An older cabin or unconventional living space could be ideal. Privacy and a genuinely quiet environment matter far more than luxury.
I'm also interested in finding community and making meaningful connections with thoughtful, kind people who appreciate a slower, more grounded way of life.
If you have a place that might work, know someone with an unused cabin, or have a lead on a quiet piece of land, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Thank you for reading and for helping Kona and me find our next home!
