The powerful Briggs and Stratton horizontal shaft output engine is what drove this 80's bearcat woodchipper for many years. I replaced the carburetor on it two years ago and it still runs strong. It might make a great go-cart engine or engine for some other project you have in mind. You'll have to take the whole chipper, dismount it, then get rid of the chipper. (I hope you'll take it to metals recycling!)
DON'T take this thinking you'll repair the chipper. The chipper blades jammed into the guard and bent it badly, and the whole mechanism is jammed up tight. In addition to that, the floor of the unit is rusted out. The bearings need to be replaced and the screws holding it in are rusted fast. Even when this unit was working it was scary and after this crash is NOT safe to run. Parts are not available for this 80s version anymore. It uses a different flywheel from the modern version that looks identical. The cost and effort to repair this unit, including welding, would well exceed what you would pay to buy a new one. You would have to weld in a new bottom, somehow unjam the unit and remove the guard, buy a new guard, take out and grind sharp all the blades and chipping knife, drill out the old bearing bolts and replace the bearing, at a bare minimum. And then you'd still have a rusted machine that chips but isn't in great shape. So just don't. Please.
If you want this, I will not hold it for more than a few hours or deliver it. It's free. It's sitting outside. You'll need a truck and someone to help you load it.
