Barklage Drywall is hiring a full-time General Laborer for our scrap-out crew. This is hard, physical work, and it's a good fit for someone who shows up on time, works hard, and wants steady work with a great local contractor.
What you'll do:
Scrap out job sites by hauling drywall scraps, debris, and trash out of homes and buildings
Sweep, clean, and get job sites ready for the next trade
Lay rosin paper and floor protection
Do taping and prep work, and help the crew wherever needed
Load and unload materials and carry heavy items up and down stairs
Follow job-site safety rules and wear the required safety gear
What we need:
Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs over and over, and to stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs all day
Reliable and on time every day, with a dependable way to get to work and job sites
A good attitude and the ability to work well with the crew, take direction, and treat customers' homes with respect
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
A valid driver's license and your own vehicle are preferred
Knowing how to attach, pull and reverse a trailer is helpful.
What we offer:
$19-20 per hour, depending on experience
Steady, year-round work
Overtime pay for hours over 40 in a week
Room to grow into drywall hanging or finishing for the right person
