The first-generation C/K trucks 1960-1966 marketed by both the Chevrolet and GMC divisions developed on a dedicated truck platform. The 1966 Chevrolet truck was the final model year of the first-generation Chevrolet C/K series, marking the last of the “square-body” pickups. The 1966 models are sought after by collectors for their classic square-body design.
The 1966 has had a cab and bed off restoration. The bed and cab have been sand blast. The cab has had a complete inside sound proofing with Dyno mat. The bed has been done with oak bed flooring. The stunning 3-stage PPG metallic green paint truly makes the ’66 standout in a crowd. All new weather and door seals.
The cab is done in a two-tone custom black and grey interior. Even the headliner has received the two-tone custom touch. The dash has been shot in gloss black to complement to grey and black interior. The dash gauges have been restored so they are bright and clean. Updated sound system with an AM/FM/Bluetooth/CD Pioneer receiver. Driving is a dream with power steering.
The suspension has been lowered 4” inch to give an aggressive stance. Upgraded to power front disc and rear drums. Powered by a 383 Stroker engine matched to a 400 Transmission with a shift kit. A premium 3.73 gear and Posi gets the job done. The 2.5” dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers gives that nice growl. Even the gas tank has been replaced!
The build was completed in 2011. Currently showing 21,176 miles. Comes with all build receipts. The ’66 is a pleasure drive. Solid and dependable perfect for shows or a daily driver.
