Owner Operator Driver — Port / Drayage (Edison, NJ)
Waterfront Logistics is expanding its New Jersey operation and is onboarding Owner Operator Drivers now to support growing volume. As an Owner Operator, you will run your own tractor and haul freight on local port and drayage routes, with steady weekly volume and prompt communication from dispatch.
Requirements
Valid CDL Class A with at least 2 years of driving experience
TWIC card with port experience (required)
Your own tractor or tractor-trailer, maintained and road-ready
Able to operate out of Edison, NJ 08837
Your own operating authority (MC# and DOT#) is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain your own truck for the safe, timely delivery of freight
Plan and follow efficient local routes
Keep accurate delivery and trip records
Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers on delivery status and any issues
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
What we look for
Proficiency operating a tractor-trailer
Strong time management and the ability to prioritize
Clear communicator, reliable, and safety-minded
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced port environment
Schedule: Monday to Friday, local routes.
