Surely you can prop up a phone and record yourself playing by yourself or with other bandmates even if you haven't filled all the chairs yet.
I can lead the group, be a co-op member, or cover a chair as a sideman.
I can sing lead and/or arrange harmony. I play keys if I can find a compatible guitar player. I like rhythm patterns, so I play percussion and could even play a kit if you've got everything else covered.
Got to be folks out there who have managed to get beyond four-on-the-floor.
