These storage containers were used by Navy anti-submarine aircraft to hold the acoustic explosives they would drop into the water to create sound pressure waves for detecting Soviet submarines in the 1980”s. Original markings are present and the steel and seals are in good condition.
Naval acoustic underwater sound signal transport box. End handles, gasket sealed lid.
