We are a local real estate investment company renovating homes throughout Polk County. We are looking for an experienced Renovation Lead / Working Foreman who can both lead the job and work alongside the crew.
This is not a desk project-management role. Early in our growth, the position will be hands-on because our renovation budgets require a lean, productive team. We need someone who can put on the tool belt, solve problems, and keep everyone moving in the right direction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work hands-on alongside the renovation crew
- Lead workers and coordinate subcontractors and licensed trades
- Help build the scope of work and sequence each job
- Keep projects moving on schedule
- Hold workers accountable for quality and deadlines
- Control labor and material costs
- Identify problems before they become expensive
- Verify completed work before payments are released
- Handle repairs, installations, and punch-list items when appropriate
- Send regular progress updates, photos, and upcoming needs
- Get each house fully finished and ready for occupancy
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You have broad residential renovation experience and can walk into a house, see what needs to happen next, and make it happen. You do not need to know every trade or be a licensed general contractor, but you must know when work belongs with a specialist or licensed trade.
You are:
- Trustworthy, dependable, and organized
- Skilled with your hands and comfortable performing varied renovation work
- Able to direct workers and have difficult accountability conversations
- Cost-conscious and able to recognize good versus poor workmanship
- A practical problem-solver who does not need constant direction
- Focused on finishing on time, on budget, and done right
Experience as a working foreman, remodeling lead, handyman/remodeler, construction superintendent, crew leader, or renovation contractor may be a strong fit.
GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
Initially, this role will be heavily hands-on. As our renovation volume grows, the right person can spend more time running projects, managing crews and subcontractors, controlling budgets, and overseeing multiple renovations. We are looking for someone who can become our go-to renovation leader.
COMPENSATION
Structured around experience, availability, and the role you can take on. We are open to a base, weekly, or project-management amount plus performance bonuses for projects completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
TO APPLY
Reply through Craigslist with:
1. A short summary of your renovation/construction experience
2. The types of work you personally perform well
3. Your experience leading workers or subcontractors
4. A few photos of projects you have worked on

We care more about proven experience, character, work ethic, and ownership than a perfect resume.
