**Blaze Powersports and Outdoors** in Duson, Louisiana, is looking for a dependable, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our team!
We are seeking a **Part-Time Store & Shop Assistant** who can work in both our retail store and shop area, assisting with a variety of daily operations.
### 🛠️ Job Responsibilities
- Assist with general retail store duties and customer service.
- Clean and maintain the store, shop, warehouse, and work areas.
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain displays.
- Receive, inspect, package, label, and organize incoming inventory.
- Assist with inventory counting, sorting, and recordkeeping.
- Help with general shop duties, equipment cleaning, and basic maintenance.
- Keep tools, equipment, merchandise, and work areas organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
### ✅ Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated to work.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- **Ability to listen, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.**
- Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, and work on hands and knees as required.
- Able to safely climb and work from ladders to access inventory on upper shelves.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods during a work shift.
- Able to regularly lift, carry, move, and handle packages typically weighing **10–30 pounds**.
- Comfortable performing hands-on work, cleaning, stocking, and inventory duties.
- Basic knowledge of tools, ATVs, dirt bikes, or powersports equipment is a plus, but not required.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
### 💵 Compensation & Employment Details
- **Pay:** Discussed individually based on experience, education, qualifications, and demonstrated work performance and attitude.
- **30-Day Evaluation:** Employee performance, reliability, work ethic, and overall attitude will be reevaluated after the first 30 days of employment.
- **Pay Schedule:** Weekly pay via direct deposit.
- **Employment Classification:** Part-time, W-2 employee position with applicable payroll tax withholding.
