This commode was used by me for a week after my hip surgery so I would not have bend as low as the seat. It has push buttons on the legs to adjust the height to your desired position. I never used the potty seat that comes with it. I just put it over the toilet and used it a couple times over the week. It's clean, never got dirty. I have no use for it anymore. Paid $60 at the rehab store on main street in Dunedin.
