Seeking help raising the front corner of our enclosed porch and rebuilding/reinforcing the supports.
We bought this house about a year ago and knew the porch was sloped. I have no idea when it sank. It could have been like this since it was built. The slope is also causing the porch roof to leak, so I need to get it straightened out before I repair the roof. From what I can tell, the front right corner needs to be lifted about 1–2 inches.
I finally took the exterior panels off today so I could get a good look at the foundation and supports. I’m pretty capable with home projects, but tackling this on my own is beyond my confidence level.
From the looks of it, there are zero actual footings in the ground. The front center and front right supports don’t seem to be bearing any weight, so I have no clue what is actually holding this thing up besides a tree stump… and faith. The previous owners were something else.
I’m on a tight budget, but I’m willing to pay someone who knows what they’re doing to either help me figure out the best way to repair it or do the work for me at a reasonable price. I haven’t purchased any materials yet.
The porch is approximately 9.5’ x 17.75’ and is the only part of the house that is not built on the main foundation.
I may also be interested in getting help repairing the porch roof and replacing the shingles once the foundation issue is corrected. The roof is approximately 150 sq. ft.
