Bridge Charter Academy of Lowell is seeking someone to provide janitorial duties to our busy campus.
The job includes a variety of duties aimed at maintaining cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities.
Responsibilities include:
General cleaning and sanitizing;
--Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors,
--Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, sinks, and fixtures,
--Emptying trash bins and recycling containers,
--Wiping down desks, chairs, and other furniture,
Communication;
--Cooperating with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure cleanliness standards are met,
--Reporting any concerns regarding safety or cleanliness to appropriate authorities, and,
Adherence to Policies and Regulations;
--Following school policies and regulations regarding cleanliness, safety, and conduct,
--Adhering to health and safety standards as required by local regulations.
Overall, the role of a school janitor is crucial in maintaining a clean and safe environment that supports the learning and well-being of students, teachers, and staff. Janitors often work independently but also as part of a team to ensure that the school facilities are well-maintained and conducive to educational activities.
The candidate must be able to perform all regular janitorial duties such as standing, walking, pushing, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward and overhead, lifting and/or carrying up to 25 pounds, and clearly reading and differentiating between cleaning products, uses, and instructions.
Position begins immediately upon hire, up to 25 hours per week based on need. Schedule and time are flexible as long as cleaning is completed before each school day begins.
