Have you finished your first draft and have no idea what to do next? My name is Brooklyn Brunette, and I would love to help you developmentally edit your novel. With a degree in English Literature and a nearly complete Certificate in Editing from UW, I can help your story become ready for reading!
It is important that you don't submit your novel to any agents too soon! Developmental edits are more "big picture" and involve addressing the structure, pacing, character arcs, plot holes, consistency, and much more! They can be much more insightful and impactful than you realize, and are a necessary step before publication.
I can edit nonfiction or fiction. I enjoy books of every genre.
A typical Dev Editor salary ranges from about 40-50 dollars an hour! Since I have only worked with a few authors and am new to the business, I am willing to work for $20 an hour, or come up with a flat fee for a project that works for us both. If the $$ is a struggle for you, please reach out. We may be able to come to an agreement together.
Based in Spokane, WA, but work can be done remotely.
