π FINAL-MILE DELIVERY DRIVER β OWN VAN REQUIRED
Independent Contractor Delivery Opportunity | Small Cargo Vans Accepted
Immediate positions available.
We are looking for a reliable and dependable independent contractor driver with their own van for residential final-mile package delivery originating from Delray Beach, FL.
This is a relatively compact delivery route consisting primarily of small packages and bags, with occasional larger boxes. This is not a high-volume 100+ stop route.
π¦ ROUTE DETAILS
* Pickup Location: Delray Beach, FL
* Must be on-site and ready no later than 1:45 PM
* Routes typically take approximately 5β6 hours
* Approximately 42β56 packages per route
* Multiple packages frequently go to the same address, so the actual number of delivery locations is often lower than the package count
* Typical route mileage is approximately 22β47 miles
* Residential/home final-mile deliveries
* Most shipments consist of small packages and bags
* Occasional larger boxes are included
* Packages generally do not exceed approximately 45 lbs
* Packages are normally carried by hand β a dolly is generally not necessary
π° COMPENSATION
Guaranteed flat daily route rate β NOT paid per package.
The agreed daily rate is for completion of the assigned route. Pay does not decrease simply because a particular dayβs package volume is on the lighter end of the normal range.
Compensation details will be discussed with qualified applicants.
π VEHICLE REQUIREMENT
YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN RELIABLE VAN.
A large full-size cargo van is NOT required.
Acceptable vehicles include:
* Cargo vans
* Passenger vans with sufficient cargo space
* Ford Transit Connect / small cargo vans
* Similar compact cargo vans with sufficient room to safely carry the assigned route
Because the route primarily consists of smaller packages and bags, compact cargo vans are welcome.
β NOT ACCEPTED
Cars, sedans, hatchbacks, and SUVs are NOT accepted.
This position specifically requires a van.

β DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
* Must own or have reliable daily access to an acceptable van
* Valid driverβs license
* Current vehicle insurance
* Smartphone with reliable data service and GPS
* Able to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs when necessary
* Dependable and punctual
* Must consistently arrive at the Delray Beach pickup location by 1:45 PM
* Able to load and organize packages efficiently
* Comfortable completing residential deliveries independently
* Good communication and ability to follow delivery instructions
* Previous delivery/courier experience is preferred but not required
π INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION
This is independent contractor (1099) work, not a W-2 employee position.
Independent contractors provide their own vehicle and are responsible for their own:
* Fuel
* Vehicle maintenance
* Vehicle insurance
* Applicable taxes and operating expenses

* Prefers a manageable route rather than extremely high package and stop counts
* Is organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently
* Has previous courier or final-mile delivery experience
* Wants a flat-rate route where becoming faster and more efficient can mean finishing the day earlier
Previous courier or final-mile delivery experience is helpful but not required.
