When was the last time you thought about your home’s security and the safety of your loved ones? Have you ever been a victim of a break-in, theft, robbery, domestic violence, have a restraining order, receiving threats? With surveillance/video systems coming down in price over the years, many people have them, and are a valuable asset for your safety and security should the worst happen. However, I would like to offer more of a hardline approach. You see, cameras and silent alarm systems are more of a passive system, which means they only become useful after the fact something bad has occurred. True, they can and do serve as deterrents, but someone out of their mind and/or concealing their identity with a mask and gloves doesn’t care or notice security devices… what’s left to stop him? What I have to offer is more of a proactive stance on keeping intruders out of your house by making your entry doors unbreakable against kicks and prybars, strengthening windows on your house to make them much harder to bust and break away, hiding things in plain sight using custom built false walls and gun safe coverings and many other things to protect you and yours . I’ve worked as a carpenter for 20 yrs with 11 of those years working for myself taking on all kinds of housing projects including replacing doors and windows which happen to be to very commonly used access points by criminals whether it be squatters trying to live in a home rarely used or home invasion/robbery while you are asleep or away. We all have things that have sentimental value that cannot be replaced including our loved ones. You’ll sleep better at night knowing that common entry points are hardened against physical attacks.
