I originally purchased these reflecting objectives to use in an optical instrument that scanned through UV, visible, and infra red wavelengths. they have been stored in a proper environment, never been used, and are in like new condition. Includes the microscope reference adjustment plate (reflecting circle on glass slide), two small adjustment drivers, two microscope extension tubes, the wooden storage box, and the threaded block that holds the objective securely in the box. Marked x15/.28 meaning 15x and 0.28 numerical aperture. The new price on this objective is over $2,000. I will pay for shipping and insurance within the US. I have two of them available - your choice - for $750 each. I am a retired experimental physicist with a room full of research equipment including optical rails, visible/IR optics, sources, detectors, and electronics. They are an example of the famous series of Beck / Ealing reflecting objectives. Properly adjusted, they are free of chromatic aberrations because all surfaces are reflecting - there are no refractive elements. The radii of the two reflecting surfaces are chosen to correct for primary spherical aberration; primary coma, and primary astigmatism. They can be used as conventional microscope objectives but their large dimensions, and will not be parfocal with conventional refracting objectives. The coating is in fine condition on both primary and secondary. Tools are included to adjust the centration of the primary mirror, which can be accomplished in less than a minute. These objectives were sold in the United States by the Ealing Catalog Company. This objective is currently supplied by Edmund Scientific in their 'TechSpec Adjustable ReflX' series
