Semi retired Christian man looking for occasional work. When I worked in the construction field. There were days when my hired help just didn’t show up. Often I wished I had more contacts in my phone with people who had an open schedule and the character and integrity to show up if I needed them. I have skills in about every aspect of residential remodeling and construction. (Framing, painting, drywall repair and insulation and etc) Equipment Operator experience in skid steer, telehandler, and mini excavators. Even bigger equipment such as Haul trucks, and loaders. Last part of my career I worked for property management groups in maintenance. Simply apartment maintenance ranging from fixing leaking faucets, toilet replacement, screen repair, appliance repair, lawn care, snow removal and landscaping. I am not looking for full time employment. But short project duration up to two weeks is agreeable all the way down to a 4 hour job. Wage is negotiable. But there is a difference between general labor and skilled labor. Those who need laborers know the difference. But generally I will agree to a way fairer wage than those who are still out in the workforce daily. My primary reason for placing this ad isn’t to meet financial needs of my household. Those are meant just fine. But rather to keep both my mind and hands occupied in a task of helping others in a need I once found myself in often. I have the basics of tools for any small project such as a carpenters tool belt and basic household repair tools. Any other tools will have to be supplied by said employer or person. I do not wish to haul my shop tools to and from worksites or locations. As I will be using a gas economy vehicle to and from any work that is offered. I will be screening reply’s to the ad. As this platform often brings some often “odd” responses. I will only be accepting work within a distance of 50 miles from my location which is in south side of Huntington county. So keep that in mind. I have in the past did fill in driving for Amish crews as their drivers and laborers have taken days off for personal reasons as well.
