Position Summary
Pioneer Stone is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated production equipment throughout multiple manufacturing stations to ensure product quality, maximize equipment uptime, and meet daily production goals.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate automated manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining established production standards.
Monitor equipment performance throughout the production process to ensure consistent quality and maximum productivity.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) inspections and complete required documentation.
Interpret daily production schedules and prioritize work to meet production deadlines.
Maintain accurate production records and communicate equipment issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
Assist with equipment changeovers, machine setup, and process adjustments as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and OSHA safety standards.
Cross-train on multiple production lines and support other departments as production demands require.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and automated production equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, counts, and production calculations.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Basic computer proficiency, including email, cloud-based applications, and manufacturing software.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10–12-hour shift.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, vibration, and machine noise.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear.

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
Automated manufacturing equipment
PLC-controlled machinery
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Preventive maintenance programs
Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices
Concrete, masonry, stone, or building materials manufacturing
