Camera Operator / Breakout AV Tech Needed – Dallas (Dallas Downtown)

Rapidly growing live event production company is looking for experienced freelance AV crew for an upcoming event in the Dallas area.
**Dates & Hours:**
- **Sunday, September 13 – Setup:** 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- **Monday, September 14 – Event Day 1:** 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- **Tuesday, September 15 – Event Day 2:** 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
You must be available for all three days.
There may also be an opportunity for **one of the two technicians to work Wednesday, September 16 from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM for teardown**. Please let us know if you are also available Wednesday.
We are hiring for two roles:
## CAMERA OPERATOR
You will operate a professional video camera on a tripod during live presentations, primarily following speakers on stage and maintaining a clean medium shot with proper framing, headroom, focus and exposure.
You should be comfortable manually adjusting basic camera settings such as iris, focus, gain and shutter speed.
Experience with Blackmagic Studio Cameras is a plus, but not required.
## BREAKOUT ROOM AV LEAD
You will be responsible for independently running a breakout room, including:
- Four wireless microphones
- Basic audio mixing
- PowerPoint / presentation playback
- Professional video camera
- Basic troubleshooting during live sessions
You must understand basic AV signal flow and be comfortable with microphones, audio mixers, laptops, HDMI/SDI video signals, presentation systems and professional cameras.
For both positions, you will also assist with setup, including running cables, setting up equipment, pipe and drape, cameras and general AV production.
This is **not a training position**. We need people who already have live-event production experience and can come in ready to work.
A great attitude is extremely important. You should be reliable, professional, able to take direction, willing to help wherever needed and able to check your ego at the door.
You should also be physically capable of helping with setup and teardown, including lifting equipment up to approximately 50 lbs.
You do not need to bring any equipment.
