Vintage Orvis Pace Changer impregnated bamboo fly rod. $1000. Excellent condition. Except for slight discoloration of the grip, this classic rod looks like new. The guides and ferrules are in great shape and there are no cracks or blemishes in the bamboo. Comes with original cloth storage bag and labeled aluminum tube. This rod (serial number 51846) was hand crafted in 1968. A speciality dealer currently lists the same model rod with a 1968 serial number for $1195.

This model (Pace Changer) is supplied with two tips of different lengths—one producing a 7-foot rod and the other a 7-foot-3-inch rod—giving slightly different casting actions.
