Who we are
Fix Remodeling LLC is a residential remodeling contractor specializing in quality kitchen and bathroom renovations, along with comprehensive interior remodeling. After years of hands-on experience buying, renovating, and flipping homes, we formally established Fix Remodeling in 2019 to deliver the same craft, care, and attention to detail directly to homeowners. While our core focus is transformative interior living spaces, we also tackle select small-scale exterior projects. We pride ourselves on clear communication, clean jobsites, and dependable craftsmanship that homeowners can trust from demo to the final punch list.
About the Role
Fix Remodeling LLC is a residential remodeling company specializing in quality kitchen, bathroom, and custom interior renovations. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Carpenter’s Helper / Apprentice to work directly alongside our Lead Remodeler.
We are not looking for someone who needs to be trained on the absolute basics—we need someone with baseline tool skills who wants to expand their craft and grow into a Lead Carpenter running their own projects within 1–2 years.
What You’ll Be Doing
Controlled Demolition & Prep: Careful, clean tear-outs of kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces without damaging framing, plumbing, or wiring; rough framing adjustments, drywall/backer board hanging, and subfloor prep.
Flooring Installation: Laying luxury vinyl plank (LVP), hardwood, and floor tile across varied layouts.
Tile Work: Setting shower surrounds, tub walls, and kitchen backsplashes with clean cuts and proper waterproofing prep.
Cabinetry & Trim: Assisting with kitchen and vanity cabinet installation, basic trim work, and hardware placement.
Plumbing Fixtures: Disconnecting and setting fixtures including vanities, toilets, shower trim, sinks, and faucets.
Basic Electrical: Swapping and installing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and cover plates.
Tool Operation & Jobsite Care: Safe operation of miter saws, wet saws, table saws, multi-tools, and drills; managing dust containment, material staging, and maintaining a clean, professional workspace in occupied homes.
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience (not purely theoretical or hobbyist).
Baseline Trade Knowledge: At a minimum, a solid working understanding and basic hands-on experience with some or all tasks listed above (demo, flooring, basic tile, cabinet assist, fixture swaps).
Tool Literacy & Precision: You know how to read a tape measure accurately, account for blade kerf, make square cuts, and select the proper fasteners for each material.
Required Tools: You must own your own cordless drill and impact driver set (with batteries and charger), as well as a standard daily hand tool setup (tape measure, speed square, utility knife, hammer, torpedo level, cat’s paw, pencil). Specialty and heavy power tools are provided.
Work Ethic & Reliability: On-time every day, dependable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and clean, respectful etiquette in occupied client homes.
Growth Mindset: Ability to take direct feedback, avoid repeat mistakes, and learn our installation standards to work toward a Lead Carpenter role.
Pay & Progression
Starting at $16.00 to $22.00/hr, based on experience level, evaluated at 60 days.
Clear advancement path to Lead Carpenter as your skill level, efficiency, and independence increase.
