Job Description
We are looking for dependable, professional, and detail-oriented independent contractor delivery drivers to join our growing courier network. As a Sahara Courier driver, you will pick up and deliver assigned shipments safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining communication with dispatch and providing proof of delivery.
Compensation & Payment
Earn competitive, performance-based pay for completed deliveries, with rates varying by service type, urgency, and additional stops. Eligible after-hours and weekend deliveries may qualify for an increased rate.
Payment Schedule: Payments are issued every Friday via direct deposit or Zelle for qualifying deliveries completed during the previous workweek.
As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own taxes and applicable work-related expenses. Actual earnings depend on completed assignments and delivery opportunities.
Requirements:
> Valid, unexpired Michigan driver's license (Class C or higher).
> Clean motor vehicle record meeting Sahara Courier's driving standards.
> Reliable, registered, and insured personal vehicle (sedan, SUV, or cargo van).
> Commercial or business-use auto insurance rider meeting the company's coverage requirements.
> Smartphone with an active data plan for navigation, dispatch, and delivery confirmation.
> HIPAA Awareness and Bloodborne Pathogen training certificates.
> Required background check clearance for applicable assignments.
> Professional appearance, dependable communication, and attention to detail.
> Signed Independent Contractor Agreement and completed W-9 form.
