Hinges : Spring loaded to aid in keeping lid either full open or closed
Suggested Fitment : two forward and two aft attachment points via saddle clamps requiring no tools to install or remove. Mounts to round or sqaure crossbars on a long roof vehicle like a Chevy Suburban, Ford Expedition, etc.

Used vintage Yakima SpaceCase cargo box for sale. In good condition, but has some scuffs, scrapes and tree sap on it. I completely washed and dried it before listing it for sale. Photos show it aftering it was dried.
Comes with no locks, however two Yakima SKS locks can be installed.
Includes all mounting hardware to mount to round (Yakima) or square (Thule) crossbar. Might be compatible with some aero bars that aren't too wide. A test fit to your vehicle would be required if you have aero bars to confirm fitment.
NOTE : this is a vintage cargo box that when new included a foam seal on the inside to prevent water intrusion. Over time this foam disintegrated. When I washed the unit to put it up for sale I made sure to remove any remaining foam. These cargo boxes are not waterproof nor were they when new. That said, you could try installing a rubber gasket to try to make it waterproof, however that would require custom fabrication on your behalf. My take on it is if I know I'm going to travel somewhere where there could be rain or snow, I will only put gear in the cargo box I'm OK with getting wet. The oldest trick in book was to get black contractor trash bags from Home Depot that are extra thick, put your gear in that and then put it in the cargo box. That's as close to sure fire as you can get to making sure your gear stays dry in there.
