This is a genuine Briggs and Stratton industrial - commercial cast iron bore single cylinder engine, made in USA. It is in very good condition, runs well and always lived inside my garage or storage unit. 12 volt DC starter, a built-in charger for the battery, and attached starter switch. (Battery not included.) Automotive-size air filter for good dust filtering, and has the original speed governor mechanism. Starts easily and has adjustable main and idle jets, unlike the newer and less durable CARB engines. This is much better than the cheap Chinese engines which don't last long at all. Very heavy duty and will last a long time with good maintenance. No oil leaks (the stain on the wood is from the oil change I just did, not from an oil leak.) The engine looks like a normal 3 or 5HP Briggs, but it is at least twice as big. It has new oil and the gas tank looks like new inside- you can see it in the photo. The shaft is 1 inch diameter and is in great shape- not deformed or scarred. I have owned this for about 30 years, and it has been well taken care of and maintained properly. $250.00 cash. Thanks for looking.
