On November 6th, we will be slaughtering 7 steers for locker beef. One half is still available. We can work out quarters, but you will need to be matched up with another buyer on the cuts wanted. Often times it is best to split a side with a friend.
They are fed lots of pasture all year long, alfalfa in the dearth times, and lots of wild pear/apple out in the coastal range. They are between 1.5 - 2 years old. Price per pound hanging weight is $5.75/lb which INCLUDES all kill and processing fees. Normally our cows dress out (hanging weight) at around 500 lbs, though some can run a little lighter or heavier. We've given up trying to guess.
We are using Farmer's Helper out of Harrisburg. Delivery is possible depending on location.
