Vintage matched pair of 1st Edition Takara Transformers SCF (Super Collection Figure) Act 1 mini PVC figures, originally released in Japan in 2000.
This lot includes both iconic faction leaders: the Autobot leader Optimus Prime and the Decepticon tyrant Megatron.
These figures were never sold in standard open toy aisles. They originally came from Japanese retail "blind boxes"—cardboard mystery counter boxes where you didn't know which character you got until you opened it. These are the original, untouched inner factory bags from those mystery boxes.
These feature the sharp "© TAKARA '00 CHINA" first-run mold stamps clearly visible on the figures.
These are the Full-Color anime editions. True to Takara's premium early production methods, the characters were factory-painted over a translucent plastic base casting. This allows their signature attachments—Optimus’s yellow Energon Axe and Megatron’s orange Energon Flail—to remain beautifully translucent and catch the light perfectly.
