Some context:
This laptop is priced well. Due to the ongoing global shortages of GDDR7 and system RAM, building an equivalent desktop right now is prohibitively expensive. This machine packs that full powerhouse performance into a premium mobile chassis. Additionally, the RTX 5090 was just effectively discontinued, making the RTX 5080 the new flagship and sending desktop GPU prices skyrocketing. Laptops are built out of longer-term component fulfillment contracts and so they haven't immediately been hit by the same price-hike, but it's expected to reach them soon and some manufacturers have suggested that it's coming.
