Here is an original late Mid-century Modern hanging Lucite string lamp I bought brand new around 1971. It’s been in smoke-free storage for at least the last 45 years. It is made of Lucite or Nylon ‘string’ or filament laced over a steel frame. It presents and works well but could use a cleaning.
As far as these Lucite string lamps go, this one is quite large, measuring about 23” in width and 13” high. The frame shows signs of age and light use but the wrapping string is nice and unbroken. It has the original cord and switch and works properly. The pattern it makes is quite nice. Please check the photos carefully. Comes with the original chain used to support it but that has surface rust.
Will not ship – would worry about packing it carefully enough. Cash only.
