This job requires the candidate to a skilled writer and researcher, with an eye for detail and an understanding of the special requirements of web publication.
Duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing information on our company websites.
• Read content and correct errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar
• Rewrite copies to make it easier for readers to understand
• Verify facts using standard reference sources
• Evaluate submission from writers to decide what to publish
• Work with writers to help their ideas and stories to succeed
• Plan digital publications according to style and editorial policy
• Develop story and content ideas while being mindful of the audience
• Allocate space for the text, photos and illustrations that make up a story
• Carry out research, confirm sources for writers and verify facts, dates and statistics
• Suggest titles and headlines
• Approve final versions submitted by the staff
• Arrange website layout of articles, blogs, videos, photographs and advertising
• Collaborate with the entire Marketing department by providing requirements, answers and support for new products.
