Primus is the "deluxe" version of the German made ECE wooden planes. Spring loaded backlash reducing mechanism and lignum vitae sole. Heavy duty cap iron fits the blade perfectly.
As new condition (it doesn't appear that the blade has ever been sharpened!)
Lee Valley sells the smooth plane version with lesser hornbeam sole for $340
