Up front: this van needs transmission work. Everything else is solid.
WHAT'S WRONG
- No reverse
- Won't upshift into 4th or 5th, but it holds 65 mph on the highway all day
- Transmission is the U151F, the AWD version of Toyota's 5-speed. Used in
04-06 Sienna AWD and Highlander. 2007 and up went to a different engine
and trans, so this is the one that fits.
- Driver side slider needs the auto cable. Opens and closes by hand fine.
- Passenger front fender corner is pulled away from the bumper. Cosmetic.
- Trim on the drivers door is missing. Cosmetic.
No codes stored. I scanned it — nothing there, no check engine light.
WHAT'S RIGHT
- AWD. Starts every time, runs strong. No smoke, no knocks, no leaks.
- Four studded snow tires, like new. Legal in Montana Oct 1 - May 31.
- Tracks straight. No pull, no shake at speed.
- A/C blows cold, heater works great.
- XLE Limited — leather, moonroof, power liftgate, rear side vent windows.
- Aftermarket Jensen touchscreen head unit with Bluetooth. No CarPlay.
- Aftermarket Insignia rear DVD player with remote — kids' screen in back.
- All three rows of seats are in it and functional.
- Lights and power accessories all work.
It drives, so you can bring it home under its own power. Just plan your
parking, since there's no reverse.
