This is a power take off built in the early 1950s or 1960s. The ID plate says A. D.Blackler Co, Seattle, Wash. I have only been able to determine that it was built for an early Dodge triuck, possibly military or Power Wagon. There are letters and numbers on the ID plate, as well as in the casting of the housing. The driven gear has 23 teeth. Do some research and see if you can use it.
The company apparently closed in the late 1960s.
Considerng the amount of use a pto receives, this unit should last many years.
If you've priced new power take offs you know you can spend $1000 or more. If you can use this one it will save you a lot of money.
