Second owner. We bought this in 2007 with 23k miles on it instead of the dreaded minivan and have cherished it ever since. Its 190k miles were clocked mostly on numerous cross country road trips with our kids. Although we said we'd never sell it, most of our kids have moved out, family road trips are a thing of the past, and this beast needs to be loved and maintained and not parked.
Highly desirable 6.0 powerstroke last model year with all the upgrades.
In excellent condition, other than the beginnings of Idaho road rust and some bad paint spots. Despite rarely being driven in the winter, it's started accumulating light surface rust (I blame mag chloride on our dirt road, which has started to attack vehicles that have NEVER been driven in the winter).
- Powerstroke 6.0 - never chipped, never abused.
- Everything works - AC, Heat, rear AC/heat
- Lockable aftermarket console
- Always monitored, never had any major failure, engine never been apart.
- Fed Amsoil/Rotella T6, Archoil oil additive, opti-lube diesel additive, and Zerex ZXED-1 coolant
- All Powerstroke 6.0 fixes:
- Latest firmware
- FICM replaced under warranty
- Updated oil cooler
- Updated turbo drain tube
- Updated stand pipes and dummy plugs
- Updated HPOP STC fitting / IPR
- Insane complete ~16 hour coolant flush procedure with Restore/Restore plus and switch to silica-free coolant
- External BPD oil and coolant bypass filters
- Blue spring fuel pressure regulator
- EGR *NOT* deleted.
- EGR valve cleaned every few years
- New water pump
- Fumoto drain valve for quick oil changes
- DVD entertainment center. Not currently hooked up.
- Android stereo - older, but has Bluetooth / USB. Used to monitor engine vitals with Torque app.
- Always had Husky liners to protect carpet/floor.
- Have records going back to the original window sticker.
Issues:
- Rust needs attention
- Large spot bubbling on roof. Roof was repainted ~10 years ago.
- Front lower bumper has impressive quantity of rock dings.
- Rear bumper has bad surface rust spot.
- Undercarriage accumulating surface rust.
- Turbo seems to get sticky every couple of years and then drags a bit when cold and throws a P0299. It's been a few years since I've cleaned it. Blame wife for insufficient accelerator usage.
- Driver's armrest leather has a minor tear.
- Passenger seat rear pocket coming off.
- Minor oil leaks - It's a Six Leaker. Have stealership records going back to 2008 under warranty showing nothing new.
