I have an 18 hp Briggs and Stratton from a LT1000 Craftsman that is disassembled due to that the oil seal is seized to the vertical shaft. In the Fall was taking it apart (initially thought piston seized) during disassembly heard a pop which discovered that the sump had cracked as shown in the photo's.
all parts are there and in good shape. have bolts and critical parts in parts bags.
Carb is still good as well as the internal parts to the engine.
Shaft seal is still stuck to the shaft, never had the time to remove it.

I am open for offers, but a reminder that a starter new is about $55.00 alone. 3 seasons on the starter.
