Pattern Details:
Design: Features a beautifully detailed transferware illustration of a Tom Turkey in the center, framed by an intricate border of seasonal fruits, nuts, and foliage.
Era & Rarity: The saucers display the rare, early "PAT. PEND." (Patent Pending) backstamp under the central graphic. This marking proves that these are early-production pieces from the pattern's launch window (circa 1955). This rarity makes these pieces especially collectable.
Origin: Authentic mid-century British earthenware. Both the cups and saucers feature the incised "MADE IN ENGLAND" stamps on the base, which are highly preferred by collectors over later overseas reproductions.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with no cracks or repairs. See the photos for details on two minor chips. The colors are rich, and the glaze retains a beautiful gloss. Light, age-appropriate manufacturing details (including original green potter’s inspection marks on the bases) are present, adding to their vintage charm.
