Position Overview
An excellent opportunity to work and train alongside a well-known industry clinician, while gaining hands-on experience working with adults with Developmental Disabilities. We are seeking a patient, engaging Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The DSP will provide Peer Coaching for an individual who is intelligent gentle, refined, and support community access. This position is located in the Clovis/Fresno area.
Start Date: Immediately
Salary range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Work Hours: 2 ½ - 3 hours; 1- 2x per week.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop a friendship-like peer relationship while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Engage and participate in Marvels, woodworking, reading, good conversation, attending movies, and exploring interesting places.
• Plan community activities such as visits to museums, community concerts, fairs, and other social-recreational activities without making the experience feel like a program.
• Support positive interpersonal communication and meaningful social interactions.
• Implement an Individual Service Plan and maintain accurate, detailed records of services provided.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• High School Diploma
• Bachelor degree is a plus.
• Experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of neurodiversity and ASD.
• Ability to engage and sustain individuals in a conversation.
• This position requires DOJ clearance.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Valid driver’s license, clean DMV record, reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position requires standing, walking, stair climbing, bending, and lifting.
• The work environment is varied, including home work, and community settings.
