Introduced as a flagship, longer-axle single-cam bow, the PSE Durango established a legacy as a remarkably reliable and accurate compound platform. Shooters value its shooting profile for several key attributes:
Smooth and Quiet Draw: Owners frequently praise the Durango for pulling exceptionally smoothly through its draw cycle and
producing very little noise upon release.
Forgiveness and Stability: Thanks to a generous axle-to- axle length (37 to 38 inches) and stable brace heights, the bow is physically balanced and highly resistant to shooter torque. This geometry gives it a "point-and- shoot" quality that makes it highly repeatable for target archer and hunting alike.
Solid Let-Off: The bow came factory equipped with an 80% let-off that users could adjust down to 65%, providing a comfortable, steady hold at full draw.
Modest. Consistent Speed: While it does not compete with modern hyper-speed compound platforms, it was highly competitive for its era, delivering IBO speeds between 302 and 305 FPS
Overall, community consensus on platforms like the Archer Talk Forum highlights the Durango as a legendary "sweet shooter" that archers could easily pick up and shoot accurately, even decades after its release.
