Select beef cow herd with Red Poll base (milk beef and gentle) , a few Longhorn for vigor, and old genetics Herefords for thickness. I picked from herds over Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, searching for old genetics that would live long, thrive and breed back on pasture / hay alone. I selected from my closed herd (last 13 years) for animals that did well and produced a calf, no calf meant time to butcher.

No vaccinations, no grains, just pasture and grass hay and Redmond Real Salt.

A mix of cows, calves, yearlings. 2 mature longhorns (~10 years old?), 2 mature Herford (~10 years old?), several proven mature Red Poll (~8-10 years old), and one 3 year old red poll/hereford bull.

Not selling one by one, minimum of 5 animals, dont waste your time. This is an offer for someone who wants a low maintenance, long lived, pasture based starter herd. $10,000 - $15,000 per 5 cows, depending on which ones you choose. Potential for discount for larger buys.
