About Us
Ambrosino Construction Group is a Florida general contractor specializing in lifted and elevated coastal homes. We take homes from the lift through structural, masonry and carpentry work to a finished, livable house. Our crews work to written standards, follow a clear chain of command, and treat every customer's property with respect.
About the Role
As a General Laborer, you keep our lifted-house projects supplied, clean, safe and moving. You work directly with our Lead Carpenter, Lead Mason and Journeymen, and you learn the trade on real coastal projects. You perform only the tasks you are trained and authorized to do, and you are expected to ask when you are unsure.
What You Will Do
Load, unload, carry and stage materials, tools and equipment so crews never wait on material.
Set up work areas, barricades and temporary protection, and protect floors, landscaping and customer property.
Support masonry work: mix mortar and grout, stock block, assist with reinforcement placement, and clean tools and work areas.
Support carpentry work: stage lumber, make assigned cuts, and assist with blocking, sheathing, infill framing and installation.
Assist with hand excavation, footing preparation, forming and curing protection.
Perform selective demolition, debris removal and waste sorting.
Keep stairs, exits and access routes clear, and secure the site at the end of each day.
Inspect tools and PPE before use, and report damage, shortages and field issues to your Trade Lead.
Safety Comes First
Lifted-house work happens around elevated structures, cribbing and shoring. You stay out of exclusion zones, never touch lifting or shoring equipment, and stop work and report anything that looks wrong: movement, cracking, loose bracing or unsafe conditions. No employee is disciplined for a good-faith stop-work action.

At least 1 year of prior construction experience
Ability to read a tape measure and follow verbal and written instructions

Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the service area
Reliable attendance and willingness to work at multiple project sites
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on your own, and to work outdoors in Florida heat, humidity and rain
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb and work from ladders, scaffolds, elevated decks and uneven surfaces
Nice to Have
Experience in demolition, masonry tending or site labor
Your own basic hand tools
