About Us
Ambrosino Construction Group is a Florida general contractor specializing in lifted and elevated coastal homes. We take homes from the lift through structural, masonry and carpentry work to a finished, livable house. We run every job on written standards, structured processes and a high bar for the customer experience.
About the Role
The Construction Manager runs lifted and elevated residential projects from post-lift handoff and preconstruction through field execution, final inspection and closeout. This is a hands-on field leadership role with full project-management responsibility: safety, quality, budget, schedule, procurement, documentation, customer communication and change management. You turn approved contracts, plans, permits and engineering into safe, profitable projects that finish on schedule, with a homeowner experience we are proud of.
You lead our Trade Leads, Journeymen and Laborers, and you coordinate subcontractors, vendors, engineers, inspectors and building officials.
What You Will Do
Lead the internal handoff on each project: review the signed contract, estimate, inclusions, exclusions, allowances, take-offs, plans, engineering, permits and customer commitments before mobilization.
Build and maintain the master schedule, inspection sequence, procurement log, decision deadlines and long-lead material plan in Zoho Projects.
Plan daily and weekly field work and coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, deliveries and inspections.
Run pre-task and coordination meetings, assign action items and track them to closure.
Direct carpentry, masonry, concrete, structural connections, utilities, waterproofing, stucco, finishes and specialty trades to prevent conflicts and rework.
Control project budgets, purchase orders, subcontracts, labor forecasts, cost codes, progress-billing support, cost-to-complete and targeted gross margin.
Require quality checkpoints before work is concealed
Serve as the homeowner's primary management-level contact, with scheduled, professional updates on progress, decisions, inspections and schedule impacts.
Document, price and get written approval for change and upgrade orders before the added work proceeds.
Keep complete daily and project records: manpower, production, weather, deliveries, inspections, delays, photos, owner decisions and incidents.
Manage inspections, punch lists, final walkthroughs, turnover documentation, closeout and lessons-learned reviews.
Safety and Authority
You have the authority to pause or redirect work when a safety hazard, unapproved structural deviation, quality concern, missing authorization or plan conflict prevents safe progress. You never authorize changes to engineered lifting, shoring, cribbing, temporary supports or load paths without the required qualified approval.
What You Need
Five or more years of residential or light-commercial construction experience, including at least three years managing projects, budgets, schedules, crews, subcontractors and customers
Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, survey and trade drawings, specifications, engineering details and permit requirements
Working knowledge of elevated foundations, residential structural systems, masonry, concrete, framing, structural connections, waterproofing, exterior finishes and closeout
Job costing, purchase orders, change orders, progress billing, forecasting and cost-to-complete experience
Comfort with project-management software, digital plans, spreadsheets, cloud file storage, photo documentation and mobile field reporting
Strong problem solving skills
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and weather, climb ladders, scaffolds and elevated decks, and lift up to 50 pounds on your own
What We Offer
Full ownership of projects, with the systems to back you up: Zoho Projects templates, written standards and a defined change-order process
Paid mileage
