This is a Russet brown leather holster made by the Boyt Harness Company of Iowa, a major contractor that supplied leather equipment to the U. S. military. The stamped "45" within the BOYT letters indicates the year it was made,1945. Vintage, fielded condition. Authentic WWII russet brown leather showing natural aging with a beautiful historic patina. Structural leather and stitching remain strong. Authentic undisturbed green verdigris buildup is present around the copper and brass rivets, confirming the holster is in its original, uncleaned state with no physical damage to the hardware underneath.
The hardware coditon includes original brass and copper fixtures showing a completely natural, unc;eaned green verdigris patina. The metal components remain structurally sound with absolutely no phisical damage, pitting, or structural degradation.
