Neutered male GSP/LAB mix, just under 2yo! He is child, stranger, med/large dog friendly (unsure about small pups). He can coexist with adult cats that set boundaries, but probably not safe around timid cats or kittens.
He desperately needs a home that is able to give him enough mental/physical stimulation- his prey drive is extremely high and he enjoys bringing us rabbits, groundhogs, and birds he catches in the yard. He can be a destructive chewer if he is not given an outlet for his energy.
He is crate trained and knows the sit/yes commands. He doesn't have any barking habits. He is potty trained and does not have accidents indoors except the rare occasion when he is in his crate for longer than usual. He is a very loyal velcro dog that is treat motivated and eager to be praised.
Really hoping to find a home where he can run/have a job & with someone who is familiar with the breed or willing to research and meet his needs. We are a family that is gone for many hours out of the day and the older he gets, the tougher that is for him and it feels unfair to continue to hang on at this point.
