Chinchillas - $150 (Port Townsend)

I have three beautiful young chinchillas, approximately 12 weeks old, looking for their own loving, permanent homes. They are still young and at a great age for a new family to continue building trust with them and help them settle into their new environment.
Their sexes have been confirmed: two males and one female. They have now been separated from Mom and are ready to begin transitioning into their own homes. I'm hoping to find responsible homes for them soon where they will receive the proper care and attention they deserve.
These chinchillas have been raised in a home environment and handled with care. They have received appropriate care and a proper chinchilla diet, and I can provide information about their current food, care routine, and transition to a new home.
Chinchillas can make wonderful pets for the right family. They are intelligent, entertaining, and rewarding companions, but they are also a long-term commitment and require specialized care.
Rehoming fees:
- $150 each if adopted individually
- $220 for both males together
- $150 for the female
The two boys may be placed together if the adopter has a suitable enclosure and they are compatible. The female must be housed separately from unneutered males to prevent accidental breeding.
The rehoming fees help me recover some of the costs involved in caring for these little ones and put resources back into my ongoing chinchilla project. My goal is to continue providing good care while making sure these babies get the safe, stable homes they deserve.
Chinchillas need a spacious, appropriate enclosure, chinchilla-specific pellets, unlimited grass hay, dust baths, safe chew toys, and a home that understands their needs. They can live for many years, so please be prepared for a long-term commitment.
