Selling my vintage Baldwin Discoverer DS-50, a rare late-'70s analog synth/organ with built-in rhythm and accompaniment. Excellent condition, fully functional, and just an incredibly cool piece of vintage electronic gear.
If you're into unusual analog keyboards, this is one you don't see very often.
The DS-50 occupies that wonderful territory between analog synthesizer, combo organ, rhythm machine and home keyboard. It's unapologetically late-'70s: warm, funky, slightly weird, and full of character. No samples, modeling or digital recreation here — this is the actual vintage circuitry making the noise.
And it looks fantastic. Metal-bodied, compact tabletop design with wonderfully retro Baldwin styling. It's equally at home in a synth collection, recording studio, stage setup, or sitting in your living room looking like you have much better taste than your neighbors.
Hey - here’s a link to Thom Yorke using it for his solo performance of Radiohead's “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi.”
