ALL EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN USED AND/OR THOROUGHLY TESTED BY ME to verify it’s working correctly and will meet reasonable expectations. Any variation of that will be noted, most often GPS systems of computerized mounts suffering from the GPS rollover issue or items listed as “Projects”. All telescopes have caps front and rear unless noted.

However I do take a trip to the Bay Area once or twice a month, a meetup can be arranged for there or somewhere in between for a seriously interested buyer. “OTA" MEANS “OPTICAL TUBE ASSEMBLY”, no mount, tripod or accessories but often rings and/or dovetail if commonly so fitted.
“KIT" MEANS A BASIC WORKING ASSEMBLY of scope, mount, and other basic pieces as commonly offered by the manufacturer.
TELESCOPES NORMALLY DO NOT INCLUDE EYEPIECES OR A DIAGONAL (for telescopes that use one) but these can be provided for nominal cost. The exception is beginner kits.
A NOTE ON GPS: Many older computerized scopes with GPS suffer from “GPS rollover” where the system resets to zero every 1024 weeks (about 19.6 years). Ignore the feature, just use the 2-star alignment and input the time, date and location manually. Google it. If you really must have GPS use the StarGPS system.
A NOTE ABOUT REFLECTING TELESCOPES, as in SCT, Newtonian and Dobsonian types. These scopes require attention to collimation, the fine optical alignment of mirrors, for maximum performance. This is something that is easily checked and adjusted in most cases and should be done before any observing session, especially if the scope has been moved (as in bouncing around on the back seat of your car). For Newtonians and DOBS a laser collimator, while not the end all of be all, is a good general purpose tool that makes the process easy, often done in under a minute. For SCT’s a star test is best. Google this subject for the type of scope you have interest in. Newtonians, either GEM mounted or in a DOB chassis are especially in need of this, SCT’s and MAK’s are generally more robust. After your research if this responsibility seems too daunting start looking at refractors instead, which generally are fairly immune to miss-collimation, assuming the collimation was correct from the factory.

2) Celestron SkyView Pro 120 120mm (4.7”) f8.3 996mm FL achromat refractor OTA with rings, Vixen-spec dovetail, 2”/1.25” focuser and caps. This OTA has a collimatable cell! - $235
2) Coronado (pre-Meade) Max Scope 40 40mm H-Alpha solar scope with diagonal/blocker, Sol Ranger Sun finder, clamshell with short Vixen-spec dovetail, caps and hard case. While older this is one of the more desirable versions in that it is made in USA, has the round “Made in USA” sticker on the diagonal/blocker and on the tilt etalon (Google it). The often decaying ITF filter in the diagonal/blocker has just been replaced with the Meier product, receipt for it included. Stunning views of the Sun’s surface and activity. This is a superior HA solar scope to the common PST (Personal Solar Telescope), shows more detail. - $500

Front lens group has “rust” which interferes with full use of the scope but still delivers an interesting image of the Sun albeit darker and a bit mottled. The lens group can be replaced but not cheap.
4) Vintage Daystar T-Scanner solar scope OTA with power supply, needs scanner rebuild: $450
