This is not the formation of a formal band, but it may be the formation of a prospective band. All instruments are welcome. The sole purpose of this group is to meetup and jam or rehearses songs together in a networking environment. Keep your chops up between gigs and exchange knowledge with peers. This is a great way to meet other musicians, and determine who is reliable and skilled enough to do prospective gigs with you. Seems the problem with most bands is finding reliable, passionate people to count on when work becomes available. It is possible you will find people you click with, and you all decide to start a band. But at least, you don't have the pressure of auditions and holding your breath wondering if your band mate will show up when you need them. This is the future. Meet people that show up to do what they have to do. We are looking for intermediate to skilled players to connect, create, and lock in. The goal is to build tight musical chemistry, workshop original ideas, and prep for potential live gigs. No egos, just solid musicians focused on growth and good groove. We Need Bassists: Solid pocket players who lock with the drums. Drummers: Reliable timekeepers with good dynamic control. Guitarists, Violins/Cellos, Wind Instruments, Keys: Creative players who know when to fill space and when to leave it. Vocalists: Strong leads who can improvise and blend harmonies. Stage presence and charisma a plus.
Skill level: Intermediate to professional. Gear: Must have your own reliable, gig-ready equipment. Mindset: Prepared, punctual, and open to collaboration. Southeast Side of Chicago Location for jams and Rehearsals will be shared with those that attend online orientation. When: Weekday evenings. Vibe: Focused but fun. We will run through covers to catch a groove, then dive into originals with open jams. If you are ready to make some serious noise and see where it goes, reply with your instrument, experience level, and a link where you're playing or audio samples.
